The 5th International “University and Disability” Congress aimed to advance knowledge of universal accessibility and new digital learning tools and platforms, making known the latest research and experiences in this field. It was an occasion to analyse and propose new inclusion programmes for groups with special difficulties in the university environment, such as young people with intellectual disabilities, and to make progress in the inclusion and dissemination of Design for All in undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and its impact on society. The congress addressed students, educators, researchers, education managers, policy makers, pedagogues and anyone interested in education as a human right for all people without discrimination and on equal terms.

During the congress ideas, good practices and debates on inclusive and quality education at university were shared, aiming to weave networks among experts and practitioners, and to take further steps towards an egalitarian society with social justice for all people, including people with disabilities. The PINC Project was presented by its coordinator in a round table.

The Congress was organised in an online format on 20-22 October 2021 by the ONCE Foundation (one of the Spanish partner organisations of the PINC project) with the collaboration of the Spanish Ministry of Universities, the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, the Royal Board on Disability, the Organisation of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), CRUE and CERMI and with the support of institutions such as the Universia Foundation.
